How to unhash a dumb with hashcat?

I have been trying for hours to dehash MD5 with hash-cat v4.2 and i am getting "failed to parse hashes" error .I also don't know how to save the cracked passwords to a file.

If you're getting the failed to parse hashes error you probably selected the wrong hash type or there is something wrong with your format.

Are you sure you only saved the hashes in the file?
